A dedicated courier should be fully insured to carry your goods from collection point to delivery point. Insurance that you must have to carry are as follows.

Goods in transit is insuring your goods to the value, So if you carry customers parts that have a value of £15000 then your insurance must cover this in case of damages to the item while in transit.

Hire & reward insurance is required when a company like ourselves are charging to carry a customers goods for payment. If you are delivering for a friend or to help out charity then hire & reward would not be needed.

Goods would be covered under hire and reward when say involved in accident and this causes damage to the items been carried. Also if the vehicle was stolen while items were inside then the vehicle then contents would be insured. A reputable courier should have both of these policy's before they carry out work for you.
